Open Courses

For a freelancer like me, delivering a set of scheduled face to face open courses is too risky to consider. The fewer the number of participants who sign up for a given course, the less viable it is and the cost of advertising in order to attract a greater number is prohibitive.

Thankfully it is different in the online world as they are far simpler to set up and administer. All that need happen is for a group of colleagues or like-minded individuals to agree on a date and time, and then get in touch with me. I’ll then create a workshop just for you and make it available as an online experience through Eventbrite, which keeps all the processes straightforward. You can choose from any of the courses I typically run, and are more than welcome to influence the content and design with me beforehand. As a rough guide, courses generally work best when there are at least eight people enrolled and you can commit to a minimum of two hours, although experience suggests that a three hour workshop with a break at the halfway point – especially as there is no difference in cost – is far better.
